COLOUR WORK

As your auric vision develops you begin to see aura around everything and everyone. This will be exciting, seductive, distracting and confusing in various degrees. Remember that it is unethical to reveal what you see unless the individual has asked you to look at them with your inner sight.

Colours will exhibit different shades, shapes and positions round a body and the first you may see are light bluish white. Remember that you will be seeing the colours of others through the colour of your own aura, and that our own individual aura is unique to us.

When you are learning, first try to observe yourself and learn to distinguish aura from after-image. You can practise this looking into a large mirror, if possible, so that you can see the body head to foot. Stand in front of a plain wall and have the overall light level fairly dim as this is often helps with your initial ‘seeing’ attempts.

At the beginning just look. Don’t make any judgments about the shapes, sizes or colours and do not try to diagnose or interpret what you perceive or notice. Simply watch and follow the movements and widths of the energy field around your body.

When you are practicing, learn to relax your eyes, breathe slowly and regularly and then begin to gaze past the reflection rather than directly at it. Write down anything you see.

If you cannot do this in a full length mirror use just the head and upper body area. Quite often this is the first area that you will see an aura around. Don’t hope for too much from your initial gazes. Just notice how your own aura moves and changes. Later, when gazing over a whole body you can develop the skill to see some of the variety of colours over a whole area.

Perhaps you can persuade a healthy friend to let you practise on them. An individual’s health and well-being affects their energy body dimensions, colours and movements. As you become more sensitive you will gather more insights and meaning from the colours and the ways they display themselves. Strong emotion will trigger stronger colour and movement, blocks of colour or darker shades. Drugs will leave traces, or clouds in the aura - which you may perceive. Also, recent environmental circumstances and heightened emotional state may also be revealed in the aura

It is difficult to see your own colours in mirror work – and some people can never do this. Don’t worry. It is fascinating to watch whatever you do see.

People often ask how large an aura field/energy body is, and it is hard to be definitive as it expands and retracts according to physical, emotional, psychological and mental state. One of the first places that the beginner may spot aura is around the head and shoulders of someone who is talking about a subject they are passionate about. Once knowing have this inner vision there are a number of ways to develop latent skills. But, never rush and never try to interpret before you have experience and guidance from a good teacher. Also, if you are a shamanic person, of course you will want to ask you spirit teachers for their advice.

Remember that the colour of your own aura will affect the colours that you see. You will learn to take account of this when you develop your work and discover what each colour, its fluctuations and variations indicate to you. Go slowly and build up your foundation gradually and securely so that you distinguish the primary and secondary colours in your own system. Ask your spirit helpers and teachers for information about the basic colours and what they indicate for you on a physical and spiritual levels. Learn about how the levels of light vibration affect colour.

There are many levels and layers that form the auric field/energy bodies, and these can take years to study and practice. At first you may see only the slowest layers of vibrations, say 1 to 4, those nearest to the physical body, and from then with time you may develop the ability to see faster vibrational layers. For example the first layer, nearest to the physical body, is sometimes called the etheric body which extends about 5cms and vibrates at approximately 250Hz. Your first opportunity to see deeper colours around the head and shoulder area may be while looking at a person who is talking about a subject they are passionate about.

Your personal energy field is your connection to the universal energy field that permeates all of space and connects all to each. As this universal energy field flows its density varies and follows the laws of harmonics and resonance. Your visual observations of the aura around each person can reveal any number of light forms, points, lines, spirals or clouds depending on the physical, emotional, and mental state of the person you are observing. Also their degree of spiritual development will determine what you are able to see. Our energy field is quite elusive as it penetrates and permeates our physical body. It has several layers and each of these interconnects with the various aspects of our whole energy makeup.

Many people first experience their energy body by kinesthetic or colour means. Many systems have been created, over thousands of years to help the beginner along their path of discovery. When you gain experience you may need to learn how to ‘hold’ a colour, or perhaps how to be specific in the colours you can use in your healing work. If you are in contact with your spirit helpers ask them what each colour signifies for you in your work. Ask how to use the various colours and understand your relationship to them.

When you are learning about, and being fascinated by how colours can surround a body, allow them to come to you. Get your ego out of the way and do remember that you are viewing through the colours of your own aura. Colour healing can be used on the physical, soul and spirit levels, in present and distant healing work. You may grow to be the facilitator of healing, a player of a small part in the very much bigger picture of life’s lessons.
